“Some thermal and ‘blackout’ blinds and curtains can release harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the acrylic foam and polyester in the lining. This can give off a very strong chemical smell and cause headaches or allergic reactions for some people.
For better indoor air quality, choose blinds and curtains made from natural, non-synthetic fabrics which are non-toxic such as 100% cotton or other plant-based fabrics.”
