Skeiling

Summary

Skeiling is a construction term that relates to an angled roof, rather than a horizontal ceiling. This may be the whole area of the room or just a small section at the perimeter – this is typical of interwar and post-war construction.

They are very often uninsulated and may be an existing area of damp and condensation. This may become worse if the adjacent wall and ceiling are insulated and the skeiling is not.
